The most deployed humanoid on the planet, and our most-ordered platform by a wide margin. I have built more patterns for Optimus than any other robot, and its near-human proportions are both a blessing and a trap. People assume human clothes will work. They absolutely will not. Here is why, and what actually does.
The Tesla Optimus Gen 2 is the current production standard. Its proportions sit remarkably close to average human dimensions, which makes the Tesla Optimus clothing challenge deceptively tricky. The body is close enough to human that generic garments almost fit. Almost. But "almost" means binding at the shoulder actuators, blocked sensors, trapped heat at the battery compartment, and a garment that looks passable from 10 meters but wrong from 2.

Optimus has the broadest AVDI catalog compatibility of any platform. Most of our standard Tesla Optimus outfit styles work with minimal platform-specific adjustment compared to wider platforms like Atlas or taller ones like Iron. But "minimal" still means real engineering at four critical areas.
The Optimus shoulder joint uses a high-torque rotary actuator that protrudes about 2cm beyond the torso surface plane. A human suit shoulder assumes a smooth contour from neck to arm. On Optimus, that contour has a bump. A standard human jacket binds at full arm raise because the fabric catches on the housing.
Our Tesla Optimus clothing uses a gusseted shoulder panel with directional stretch inserts that give the actuator room to rotate without pulling fabric across the chest or back. The gusset floats on four anchor points so it moves independently during arm raises. The visual result is a smooth shoulder line that looks like excellent tailoring rather than an engineering accommodation.
Optimus carries forward-facing stereo cameras and a LiDAR array at head height, with depth sensors in the hands and torso. All AVDI upper-body Tesla Optimus outfits use sensor-transparent mesh panels at these positions. The panels are color-matched to the surrounding fabric and invisible to the human eye but fully transparent to sensor wavelengths. I test every sensor-zone panel on live hardware with the full sensor suite active. If any sensor shows degraded performance, even by 1%, the panel gets redesigned.
The charging port sits center-back at the lower lumbar position. Every Tesla Optimus uniform includes a magnetic-closure flap at this location. Clean visual lines when closed. Instant access for charging. No tools, no zippers, no fumbling. Your operator walks up, flips the flap, plugs in. Takes about 3 seconds.
Optimus has a moderate thermal profile. The battery compartment in the torso is the primary heat source, with secondary heat at the shoulder and hip actuators. Most of the chassis surface falls in thermal Zone A or B, which means we can use our widest range of visual fabrics. The battery zone gets a channeled ventilation panel, and the shoulder joints get breathable construction. The rest can be standard textile, which is why Tesla Optimus clothing offers the most variety in fabric choice, color, and finish of any platform we serve.
Beyond the core Tesla Optimus outfit garments, we offer accessories designed specifically for the platform.
Our most popular garments for Tesla Optimus, selected by order volume and operator satisfaction ratings.
Optimus is deployed across more verticals than any other platform. Each industry has different requirements for the Tesla Optimus uniform.
No. Every AVDI Tesla Optimus outfit uses sensor-transparent textiles tested for LiDAR, stereo camera, and ultrasonic pass-through. Sensor positions are mapped during the pattern phase and covered with RF-transparent or optically clear mesh panels. We verify sensor performance on live hardware before approving any pattern.
You do not pick a size. Tesla Optimus has a single chassis specification (173cm, 57kg), so all AVDI Optimus garments are built to one precise platform template. Every garment fits every Optimus unit identically. No size charts. No fitting sessions.
Yes. All Tesla Optimus clothing includes clear access to the rear charging port via a magnetic-closure flap. Opens in seconds. No garment removal needed.
AVDI garments are tested to 50,000+ articulation cycles. For Optimus running 16-hour daily shifts, that is roughly 6 months per garment. With rotation and proper care, most operators get 9-12 months of service life.
Yes. Tesla Optimus accessories include work gloves, branded caps, decorative scarves, ties, and boot covers. All designed to complement the main garment without interfering with sensors or actuators.
