Every AVDI sleeve for Figure 03 clothing terminates at a precision-cut wrist cuff sitting exactly 8mm above the wrist joint. This gap gives the hands complete freedom while maintaining a finished look. The cuff uses a bonded edge rather than a fold-over hem to keep the profile razor-thin. A fold-over hem adds 3mm of thickness that can snag on manipulated objects. I learned that the hard way during our first Figure 03 prototype when a fold-over cuff caught on a warehouse box edge and pulled the sleeve 2cm down the forearm. Bonded edge, always.
Figure 03 uses wider hip actuators than most platforms, creating a distinctive profile at the upper thigh. Standard trousers would bind at the hip crease during walking. Our Figure 03 outfit trousers use a darted panel system at the hip that provides room for the actuator housing without adding visual bulk. The result looks like well-tailored trousers, not a technical garment draped over machinery.
Unlike Optimus's lower-back port, Figure 03 charges through a panel between the shoulder blades. Figure 03 clothing includes a concealed zipper access point at this location, hidden under a storm flap that maintains clean lines when closed. The zipper pull sits flush so it does not create a pressure point against charging station docks.
Figure 03 carries force and proximity sensors along the torso midline. AVDI garments use a flexible sensor-transparent strip along this path, integrated into the garment's front panel seam so it reads as a design detail. The strip uses an optically clear woven mesh that transmits 98% of the sensor wavelengths while being virtually invisible against the surrounding fabric.
